iPhone Audio Dongle
Since iPhones no longer have headphone jacks, you'll need to do a little bit of work to get them to accept microphones. This adapter allows a regular headphone jack input, as well as the ability to charge your phone at the same time.

This adapter uses your iPhone's lightning port as a headphone jack, but eliminates the ability to charge your phone at the same time.
Android Audio Dongle with Power

Using this cable with the microphone will give you more freedom to setup your shots. You won't have to have the microphone so close to your camera, and you'll be able to get better audio of your actors.
